Tuesday, September 13

On Tuesday, September. 13, we started the class up by getting back our graded homework. Now since some of the homework not exactly what was expected, we spent a long time going over the homework, and making sure that everyone understands what happened (in the book). Also after we were done we watched a clip from the movie "Last of the Mohicans" and answered some questions about it. I really enjoyed watching the movie in class, and the only thing i have to suggest is that we do more things like it (watching videos). I think visual learning is just a great way to understand the subject.

  1. I couldn't agree more with your mention on watching films in class. I don't think that we necessarily need to watch full movies but it definitely gives a better understating of the events. I find it truly helpful to watch small clips of the events that we are currently studying. Also, I would think that a great suggestion is to possibly watch a main clip every class. I think that overall, visual learning is a great help which helps benefit our learning.

  2. I agree that visual learning helps people understand more. I think a movie would help a lot. But I think we should watch the whole movie, not just a clip of it.

  3. I thought it was great getting the homework back and getting a chance to go over it and add some extra notes. Its nice because even though I read through the section some of information was a little confusing and it was nice to go over and be able to have it explained more thoroughly. I also agree that the visual learning was great because we got to see what we were learning about and it helped me personally understand the material more. Hopefully we get to do more visual learning and go over more homework notes.
